Franco & Elly

The Woburn Residence Club is a project of Elly and Franco Esposito. The idea behind it was to create the ideal luxury condominium near the ocean, where people could enjoy Kenya's delights as much as the Espositos have. They have tried to make the apartments as homey as possible.

Elly has put her personal touches all over the estate, from the design of the furniture, to the development of a "dried up river bed" and growing palm trees, baobab trees and other tropical plants around the estate.

Care and attention to detail has provided an excellent result combining natural effects with stylish presentations in the apartments. The swimming pool, some pictures of which you see here, is a key feature of the development and epitomises the thought that has been part of this development.

A former resident of Holland, Elly came to Kenya in 1969 as a Tour Guide. Italian born Franco first came to Kenya in 1964 with the San Marco Project (an Italian Rocket station). He is Range Manager of the project – a joint programme between the Italian and Kenyan governments.

Their first combined venture was the Boamo Lodge on the Tana River. Needless to say, after 30 years in Kenya, the country has become their home and they love being here.
